Sleeping beauty

Isn't a sleeping baby just the sweetest thing ever.

You may be asking yourself "What is that thing that she is laying on top of and has a death grip too?" Well, that is Little Froggie or Freddy. We really haven't come up with a proper name. Suggestions are being taken. "He" is very boy looking so girl names are out. Grace has chosen this animal as her security item. She picked him out all on her own. He DOES NOT leave the crib, for fear that he could possibly be missed placed. Which would probably cause more trauma to me then her. If you peek in on her during nap or bed time. Froggie is there. Sometimes she uses him as a pillow. Usually she all snuggled up to him. With out fail she throws Froggie out of her crib in the morning. We can not start the morning without placing Froggie back in the crib safe and sound.

You were dreamed about and loved before you were born. We loved you the minute we knew about you and our hearts were even bigger the day you were born. A long over due post!

This is how I've found Grace a couple times in the last month! She's sooo silly!!!!!

She is walking! It started about 3 weeks ago with 2 steps and now she can walk about 10 feet. The thing is she only does it when she wants too. That's Grace!! She walks really well at home where everything is familiar to her. Still her preferred method of travel is crawling but I have a feeling that will be changing!!

So this little experiment has been going around facebook for a couple months now. I did it about a month ago. At first I didn't think I could possible think of 25 things but I did and it was really fun. So here they are...

Oh and it wouldn't be a blog post without Grace. So here is my 1st attempt at adding a video. If it doesn't work you'll get a picture!! :)

25 random things about me

1. I met my husband on a blind date thanks to Kim Sooley (Kim I know your last name is different now but it will always be Sooley to me.. :)

2. I wanted to be a dance teacher when I was 12.

3.I have always wanted to me a professional Mommy, when I was little and even when it came time to Grad from HS. I almost told my guidance counselor that I didn't need to go to college cause I was gonna be a mom

4. I told my friends in HS that I was going to have so many kids it was going to be a 3 world country at my house. (BOY WHAT I DIDN'T KNOW THEN!!!!!)

5. I'm really silly once you get to know me!

6. It took me 2 hours to push out a 5 lb baby. I guess I wasn't that good at it. It wasn't until I was threaten a CSection that I got down to business.

7. I love old people. There just older kids to me!

8. My husband calls me Dr. Christianson

9. I was a band geek and proud of it and BAND WAS COOL at Barron at least that's what I tell myself.

10. I love the FLORIDA GATORS!! WHOO HOO GO GATORS!!

11. I have the worlds best sisters

12. I worked in a daycare for 4 years. It's the best birth control in the world it should be a Freshman class requirement.

13. I still miss dance recitals.

14. I've been to London and Germany.

15. I tend to say thing w/o really thinking about them. Which sometimes gets me in trouble or makes people laugh.

23. I hate spit (I can deal w/ any other bodily fluids but spit) Oh and drool it not spit

24. I once worked in a OB/GYN office where patients would tell me thing that would blow your mind.

25. I have the world best husband!! He's kind and patient, loving and sweet. SUPER helpful, always willing to do anything anyone asks. He puts up w/ my family. He works really hard so that I can stay home w/ Grace. He's a wonderful DaDa, just watch Grace follow him around and you'll know that. He can take her for the WHOLE day if needed. (not kidding whole day) Once a month he gives me a Saturday morning off and I get to do whatever I want!

Stuck!

So yesterday I was doing some stuff around the house. Grace was playing with her toys and I turned around to do something for just a minute and saw this!! It was sooo funny. I was laughing out loud. The funniest part was as soon as I grabbed the camera she went from whining to big smiles.

Another big change in Grace's world is that she has decided that she no longer wants baby food. She loves fresh fruit, whole wheat waffles, whole wheat english muffins, grilled cheese and chicken. She is also not drinking from a bottle during the day anymore either. It's a sippy cup and good old whole milk. She loves it and I was really dreading the change. She did really well with the transition. It took about 2 days for her to not "ask" for a bottle. Now that she drinks milk she can have cereal in the morning and she thinks that's great!!!

A BLOG!!!

Well I did it! I have a blog. After lots of convincing by Emily it's here, thanks to her! She says it's easy she better be right.
No but really I've been wanting to do this for a while now. To keep our far away family and friends updated.
SO here it is...don't pay too much attention to the spelling and grammar and ENJOY!!!!

Grace turned 11 months yesterday and I can't believe it!!! She is turning more into a little girl everyday. She loves to dance, it's her new thing. Whenever music is playing (or your singing) she start bopping up and down or back and forth. She loves to wave "Hi" and "Bye". She'll even wave at the phone. She gives great kisses and hugs but ONLY when SHE wants too. DaDa is still her only "official" word. If you say "Grace say MaMa" she respond by saying "DaDa"...nice!!
